Selected as Best Paper Runners-up at WebDB Forum 2018

The following paper (first appeared in IPSJ Transaction on Database, Vol. 11, No. 1) is selected as the best paper runners up at WebDB Forum 2018.
Mining Alternative Actions from Community Q&A Corpus Suppanut Pothirattanachaikul (Kyoto University), Takehiro Yamamoto (Kyoto University), Sumio Fujita, Akira Tajima, Katsumi Tanaka (Kyoto University), Masatoshi Yoshikawa (Kyoto University)
The paper reports the results of a joint research project with the Yoshikawa lab at Kyoto University. The study leverages the QA data from Yahoo! Chiebukuro (a Community Question Answering service by Yahoo! JAPAN) to generate recommendations about alternative solutions to users searching the Web for solutions of their troubles; thus the technology takes full advantage of our service data as a multi-big data company. We continuously seek to collaborate with universities around the world in order to provide Yahoo! JAPAN services with technologies brought up by young talented students.
